Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Facilitator to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Practice Facilitator will work closely with our Practice Educator and Ward Managers to identify and facilitate learning needs for individual members of staff. They will also work with the Education Team to lead the teaching, training, and education of all staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families.
  • Act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner, demonstrating leadership and professionalism at all times.
  • Promote continuous improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
  • Encourage and support the development of clinical skills by working directly alongside staff, with a particular emphasis on new and less experienced staff.
  • Assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department.
  • Work with the Practice Educator and Ward Managers to identify and facilitate learning needs for individual members of staff in response to clinical needs.
  • Work with the Practice Educator and Education Team to lead the teaching, training, and education of all staff.
  • Facilitate the creation of a positive learning environment where staff development is encouraged and supported, and talent is fostered and enhanced.
  • Work trust-wide, supporting the education team in practice development, service improvement, and organisational transformation to deliver the trust's vision and objectives.
