About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our care teams across various locations in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel across the region to manage and develop care teams in various care homes.
  • Work closely with the General Manager or hiring manager to implement action plans that ensure resident needs are met.
  • Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, helping with care standards, motivating teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals, setting the highest standards and drawing on skills to drive success.

About You:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
  • Teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a nursing home setting.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Experience helping residents with different health needs.
  • Successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
