Reliability Maintenance Engineer, Amazon Operations

At Amazon UK Services Ltd., we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing technologies within our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.



Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of safety and equipment availability. You'll work closely with our operations team, leveraging your technical expertise to identify and mitigate potential risks. Through proactive maintenance and efficient issue resolution, you'll contribute to the seamless delivery of our services to millions of customers worldwide.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Put health and safety best practices first in all work carried out, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing efficient solutions.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicating effectively with affected parties and working efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting enhancements to our processes.
  • Ensure high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers, working collaboratively with the operations team to meet their needs.
  • Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians, leveraging their expertise to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Manage contractors effectively, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.


Requirements:


  • Multiskilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience in fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems.
  • Experience in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
