We're looking for a skilled Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our team in Nottingham, UK.

This role involves maintaining and optimizing technologies in our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. As a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance on our equipment, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that our systems are running smoothly.

You'll work closely with our operational team to provide high levels of equipment availability and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on our equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Identify and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing the impact on our operations.
  3. Work closely with our operational team to provide high levels of equipment availability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure that our equipment is running at optimal levels.
  5. Collaborate with our technical teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems.
  • Experience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of high voltage switching.
  • Experience of sortation machines.
  • Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
  • Experience of print and apply machines.
  • HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
