Role OverviewWe're seeking a motivated technician to join our Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. Your role will involve maintaining and optimizing technologies within our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. As a team player, you'll engage in planned preventative maintenance, proactively addressing and resolving issues to ensure equipment availability and quality.
Your focus will be on supporting our operational teams, working closely with customers and receiving support from your team and leaders.
Shift PatternThis role involves working in a non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends.
Key Job Responsibilities- Ensure health and safety best practices are upheld in all work carried out, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment within the site.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to resolve the issue.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement through your line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Learn from and support Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
- Manage contractors.
We're open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Nottingham, GBR.
Basic Qualifications- Be multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Have experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Have experience in fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems.
- Be able to interpret both mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Have experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
- Have served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ).
- Have experience of high voltage switching.
- Have experience of sortation machines.
- Have experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
- Have experience of print and apply machines.
- Hold an HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng.
