As a Senior Economist, you will be part of a collaborative team that works closely with stakeholders to drive positive change. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining robust datasets, including ILR and LEOS datasets.
  • Analysing and interpreting complex data to inform policy decisions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify key issues and trends relevant to education and skills policy development.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to colleagues and external stakeholders through written reports, verbal presentations, and seminars.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A degree or professional qualification in economics or a related field, preferably at post-graduate level.
  • Proven experience in conducting research and analysis to inform policy and strategy development.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using project management, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
  • Evidence of clear personal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to various audiences.

Benefits and Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of approximately £62,000 - £72,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an attractive range of benefits, including 30 days annual leave, interest-free season ticket loan, and career-average pension scheme.
