At Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of a safe, effective, and caring service to children and young people (0-18 years).

We are committed to providing opportunities for flexible working and a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.

The service we provide is in line with NICE Evidenced Based Treatment for those children and young people. You will provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations, and work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate treatment plans.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, including nurses, psychologists, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists. You will also be part of a Trust-wide SAS network, where there are opportunities to liaise with colleagues in other posts throughout the Trust and develop peer networks.

We are committed to people participation, meaning that we involve patients and their carers and supporters in service decision-making and planning. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that values collaboration, respect, and open communication.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge. They will also have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
