Change Manager for Digital Preservation

We are seeking a skilled Change Manager to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. As a Change Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of our next-generation Digital Repository Service (DRS) and its integration within our current software ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop service delivery frameworks and change management plans to ensure smooth transitions and minimize end-user change fatigue.
- Proactively understand the university culture and change adoption practices across various customer bases and workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design user outreach strategies and create collaterals that effectively articulate key messages in terms of business impact.
- Make independent decisions within established parameters to ensure adherence to change processes throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide training to clients and staff to ensure their familiarity with new technologies and systems.
- Work closely with the technical implementation team to ensure clear understanding of business and user requirements during the software development lifecycle.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
The following Additional Qualifications are strongly preferred:
- Knowledge and experience in organizational change management, Agile methodologies, end-user training strategy, and adult learning best practices.
- Proficiency in facilitation of large groups and conducting training, preferably in a research or academic environment.
- Strong understanding of key business processes, ability to create internal partnerships, foster collaboration, and recommend strategies that align with organizational culture.
- Fluent in technology concepts and adaptable to evolving technologies.
- Experience working in a research or academic environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
- Cross-functional project management experience with a focus on change management and communications.
Working Conditions:
Harvard University IT actively supports hybrid work arrangements, allowing flexibility in on-site, hybrid, or primarily remote work. Travel to campus may be required based on business needs and the nature of work.
