We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our team at The Christie NHS FT as a Practice Educator - Principal Clinical Scientist. This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with education and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of training programs and provide support to trainees, ensuring high-quality and effective training experiences.
- Develop and implement innovative training methods to improve the quality and capacity of training offered.
- Collaborate with the Imaging Academy and other training centers to design and deliver multi-professional training.
- Provide radiation protection advice to diagnostic and interventional radiology/cardiology departments and dental practitioners.
- Work closely with clinical services and other relevant services to ensure effective clinical training.
- Participate in research and service development work to improve the CMPE service and optimize radiological techniques.
- Contribute to the development of national guidance and play an active role in national professional organizations.
- Good honors degree in an appropriate physical science.
- Higher degree (MSc or equivalent).
- State registered Clinical Scientist.
- Recognition as MPE and/or certificate of competence as RPA (or expected to gain one within 12 months).
- Postgraduate diploma in learning and teaching in higher education.
- Corporate membership of IPEM or other equivalent professional body.
- PhD or equivalent research experience.
- LPA certification.
- Expert knowledge of radiological physics and radiation protection and regulatory framework.
- In-depth knowledge of X-ray equipment.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to position intricate test tools with precision and within a tight timescale.
- Analysis & interpretation of investigations/results, drawing conclusions.
- Problem-solving.
