We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students facing significant behavioural challenges in our KS3 setting.

This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children who need it the most. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, learning difficulties, or SEMH, trauma, and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including those with EHCPs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to design and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Contribute to the development of a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, learning difficulties, or SEMH, trauma, and mental health issues.
  • Background as a Learning Support or Teaching Assistant.
  • A nurturing, caring attitude with a proactive, flexible approach.
  • The ability to build strong rapport with disengaged students.
  • Patience and understanding, particularly in supporting children transitioning back to school.
