Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individual pupils with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a safe and friendly environment
  • Working closely with qualified teachers to provide individualized support and guidance
  • Developing and implementing creative strategies to engage pupils with unique needs
  • Providing excellent communication skills and building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children or adults, preferably in a teaching or support role
  • Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, and ADD needs, and experience in supporting pupils with these conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Reliable, organized, and punctual, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality support
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach

What We Offer:

  • A competitive rate of £83.85-£100 per day, paid through PAYE
  • A full-time, term-time only position, Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30
  • The opportunity to gain experience and knowledge from a large group of qualified teachers
  • Ongoing training and support to develop your skills and expertise
