SEN Support Assistant

At Teaching Personnel, we are dedicated to connecting schools with exceptional candidates for SEN Support Assistant positions.
This role will involve providing individualized support to a student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing continuous support to the student during school hours
  • Assisting the student with tasks assigned by the educator
  • Offering behavioral and learning assistance
  • Upholding the institution's values consistently
  • Helping with classroom setup and teardown
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety for the student
  • Supporting the teacher in the daily operations of the classroom

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a support assistant role
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Training in safeguarding
  • Qualifications related to teaching assistance
  • Training in manual handling
  • Current DBS on the Update service (assistance available)
  • A diligent and positive approach to all tasks
  • Residing in proximity to the relevant areas

All quoted pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for permanent opportunities in the future.
