We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join Bright Horizons Family Solutions in Northampton.

About the Role

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports that provide valuable insights into our business performance. Your tasks will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheets, including reconciliations;
  • Posting accounting transactions in a timely manner;
  • Conducting P&L variance analysis to ensure accuracy and substantiation;
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and identifying risks and opportunities;
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting as needed;
  • Performing ad-hoc analyses and collaborating with other finance teams;
  • Maintaining awareness of organisational changes, financial regulations, and market trends;
  • Handling confidential issues appropriately;
  • Interacting with internal and external auditors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in month-end accounting and balance sheet preparation;
  • A strong understanding of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel;
  • Part-qualified or qualified status (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience;
  • The ability to communicate effectively, build trust, and develop cohesive teams;
  • A high level of motivation, energy, and a 'can-do' attitude;
  • The capacity to use data and numerical detail to inform strategy and drive quality.
Salary and Benefits

This role comes with an estimated salary of up to £28,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
