About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Radiographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a general rotational radiographer throughout imaging core services at The Royal London Hospital, with some rotation to Mile End Hospital.
  • Provide high-quality imaging and patient care, working closely with Radiographers and clinical staff of all grades.
  • Assess the clinical justification of referrals and liaise with referrers and radiologists to select the most appropriate imaging procedure.
  • Review images produced and ensure that any additional imaging procedures are acquired prior to the patient leaving the department.
  • Bring to the attention of the radiologist (or referring clinician in their absence) the presence of any pathology that may suggest urgent medical intervention is indicated.
Requirements
  • DCR (R) in Radiography or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • HPC registration.
  • Full range of radiographic competencies in plain film and fluoroscopy.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, and professional guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations IRR 2018 and IR(ME)R 2017.
