SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This full-time position will commence in October and continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and engage in their learning.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional help, adapting teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
- Assist class teachers in delivering lessons, focusing on differentiated instruction to support SEN students.
- Help implement personalised learning plans (PLPs), ensuring that targets are met and progress is regularly reviewed.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them build confidence, self-regulation, and social skills.
- Liaise with SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), teachers, and parents to ensure consistent support and communication regarding student progress.
- Support students in a variety of settings, including mainstream classrooms and specialised interventions, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Start date: October, with the role continuing until the end of the academic year. There is potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.
