Job Title: Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant - ADHD Support

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Remedy Education. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with ADHD and will be responsible for delivering targeted support to students aged 11-16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students with ADHD, aiding them in managing their behaviour and focusing on their learning.
  • Implement innovative strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, offering feedback to inform future support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and learning.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong SEN experience.
  • Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Previous experience working with children with ADHD, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of ADHD and effective behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs or behaviour management are desirable.
