We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Childcare Lawyer to join our team at Reading Borough Council. As a key member of our Childcare Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality legal advice and representation to vulnerable children and their families.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking team, contributing to the delivery of excellent legal services to our clients. You will be responsible for providing expert advice on childcare law, representing clients in court, and working closely with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients in childcare cases
  • Represent clients in court, including at Children's Hearings and Family Courts
  • Work closely with other professionals, including social workers and advocates, to achieve the best outcomes for children
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to childcare law
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in childcare law
