Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the development and education of children in early years settings. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Support the creation of a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom organization.

Requirements:

  • A University Graduate with a minimum of 2:2
  • Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
