We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graduate Teacher to join our team of education professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff at one of our partner schools.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be required to deliver lessons to students in secondary schools across York, supporting both Key Stage 3 and 4 classes. The ideal candidate will have a BSc or BA degree with a subject specialism and previous experience leading classes, either through volunteering or paid work. A strong Enhanced Child Only DBS is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in absence of the class teacher
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management and ensure each pupil stays on task
  • Collect student work without the need for marking
  • Support KS3 and KS4 classes in various subjects, depending on your specialism
Requirements
  • BSc or BA degree with a subject specialism
  • Previous experience leading classes (or volunteer days)
  • Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the Update Service
  • Flexibility to work across different schools in the York area
  • Good behaviour management skills
