About the Role

Caval Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering design & build and refit projects nationwide, ranging in value from £50k to £2m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the commercial team in delivering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Prepare and submit interim payment applications, monthly cost and value reconciliation reports, and project cost control documents.
  • Assist with all commercial aspects of allocated projects, including sub-contract negotiation and letting, and post-contract liaison with clients.
  • Manage and value variations, attend meetings for the agreement of final accounts, and prepare and submit interim valuations.
  • Jointly manage contract costs, including payments to sub-contractors, and assist with the management of contractual documentation and letters.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor or a Fit-Out Contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and construction contracts, such as JCT.
  • Preferred background in fit-out or commercial construction.
  • Knowledge of refit and refurbishment projects with values ranging between £50k - £2m.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works.
  • Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties.
