We are seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to join our team at Incommunities, a leading social housing landlord in the region. As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive pest management service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the provision of a pest control service, following work programmes and inspecting work progress to ensure effective delivery of a customer-focused pest management service.
  • Lead investigations into pest problems and take action to resolve them.
  • Update records accurately using IT software packages.
  • Respond to emergency situations and urgent requests as required.
  • Take appropriate action to deal with a range of issues and situations, providing practical advice or assistance as needed.
  • Deputise for the Pest Control Team Leader in their absence.
  • Liaise with internal and external departments and agencies.
Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving licence with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH/Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience in handling toxic chemicals and physically demanding activities.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety as it relates to the role and the measures needed to do the job safely.
  • A minimum qualification of RSPH or BPCA Level 2 with one year of practical experience, or full training will be provided.
  • A broad understanding of housing and estate management standards and practices.
  • The ability to demonstrate experience in pest control and using hand tools and power-operated equipment.
  • The ability to recognise and appreciate the needs of vulnerable customers and deal with them in a sensitive manner.
