Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic team at Axon Moore Group Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, maintaining control schedules, and ensuring compliance with Group/client policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Produce monthly financial packs for clients and property managers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Financial Control: Maintain control schedules, adhere to finance timetables, and ensure compliance with Group/client policies and procedures.
  • Financial Invoicing: Ensure management fees, sales, and purchase invoicing are current, with timely payment reviews.
  • Financial Reconciliations: Handle monthly prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as conduct bank account reconciliations.
  • Annual Budgets: Assist in delivering annual property budgets for clients within deadlines.
  • Internal Liaison: Act as the internal contact for accounting queries and foster effective relationships with internal departments.
  • Statutory Audits: Support annual statutory audits for the company and clients.
Person Specification:
  • Accounting Qualification: Actively studying for an accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
  • Accounts Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of accounts experience, ideally management accounts.
  • Financial Software: Proficient in finance computer software, with Xero and Navision experience preferred.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and proven experience with spreadsheets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain composure under pressure, and exercise good judgment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering quality service.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility: Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances, with a positive 'can do' attitude.
