Job Description

This role will play a critical part in representing World Vision in the humanitarian space, developing strategic communications plans, and engaging with external stakeholders to maximize impact and influence. You will work closely with our global teams to amplify our humanitarian response expertise and thought leadership, while fostering strong relationships with key partners and influencers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to elevate World Vision's humanitarian profile and reputation.
  2. External Engagement: Foster partnerships with UN agencies, donors, and other key stakeholders to drive policy influence and income growth in the humanitarian sector.
  3. Internal Collaboration: Support global planning and collaboration efforts across World Vision's humanitarian programs.
Requirements
  • Masters level qualifications: Strategic Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • 10 years relevant experience: Marketing, Communications fields, with at least 5 years at a senior management level; 3 years working in humanitarian or emergency response industry.
  • In-depth understanding: Civil society leverage points in the global humanitarian community, including familiarity with UN and coalition processes.
  • Excellent writing skills: Translate complex material into coherent narratives for policymakers and peers.
Travel Requirements
  • National/international travel: Up to 30% of the time, with flexibility to deploy to the field as needed.
