Canary Wharf, Greater London, United Kingdom Queen Mary University of London Full time

About the Role

As the Data and Compliance Manager for Apprenticeships at Queen Mary, University of London, you will lead initiatives to enhance apprenticeship data quality, integrity, and usability across all apprenticeship programs. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll develop and manage ESFA and Ofsted data requirements, prioritize improvements, and establish automated data quality reporting systems (using the SMART Assessor LMS system) to drive better decision-making and operational efficiency.

You will also ensure that data and claims records are accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with ESFA requirements. This includes validating and ensuring the accuracy of all PDSAT and FRM reports and resolving any D-Lock errors. A thorough understanding and experience in producing and submitting the ILR return, encompassing data collection, quality assurance, ILR coding, and final file production is essential.

About You

You possess significant and up-to-date operational experience managing ESFA data returns in accordance with funding rules. Demonstrable experience in improving compliance across apprenticeship programs is crucial. Excellent management skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively with others. Given the multifaceted nature of this role (covering ESFA, Ofsted, and other regulatory returns), you must establish effective working relationships with a range of both internal and external stakeholders. A commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes to ESFA funding rules is essential.
