Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Coordinator to join our team at the Martin James Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, researching, and developing fundraising initiatives to support our global projects and EPIC mentoring programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential fundraising opportunities, including trusts, corporates, and individual donors.
  • Develop and submit public sector tenders and bids on behalf of the Foundation.
  • Prepare clear and compelling written applications and proposals for donors.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with potential supporters and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop fundraising materials and content.
  • Work closely with Programme colleagues to understand project requirements and outcomes.
  • Report on funding pipeline, income secured, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of opportunities, applications, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, preferably in charities.
  • Experience of researching and writing proposals for various funding sources.
  • Ability to work at pace and adapt to different situations.
  • Strong organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent verbal and written English presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and evidence practical application of IT skills.

What We Offer

The Martin James Foundation offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 1-2 days per week in our Birmingham office and the remainder working from home. We are committed to supporting flexible working patterns and are open to discussing alternative arrangements.
