Job Title: Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator

About the Role

The Martin James Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and developing fundraising initiatives to support our global projects and EPIC mentoring programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with potential supporters, including trusts, corporates, institutional donors, and individual major donors.
  • Write and submit public sector tenders and bids on behalf of the Martin James Foundation.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and compelling written applications and proposals to secure funding.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop content and fundraising materials.
  • Work closely with Programme colleagues to understand project requirements and develop informed discussions with donors.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of opportunities considered, applications submitted, feedback received, and all outcomes.
  • Contribute to quarterly reporting to the Board of Trustees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience of fundraising work in charities.
  • Experience of researching and writing proposals to obtain funding from various sources.
  • Experience of working on tenders and bids for public sector contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written English presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work at pace.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

What We Offer

The Martin James Foundation offers a hybrid working arrangement with 1-2 days per week in our Birmingham office and the remainder working from home. We are committed to supporting flexible working patterns and are open to discussing alternative arrangements.
