Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator

About the Role:

The Martin James Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and developing fundraising initiatives to support our global projects and EPIC mentoring programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including trusts, corporates, and individual donors
  • Develop and submit public sector tenders and bids on behalf of the Foundation
  • Prepare clear and compelling written applications and proposals to secure funding
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with potential supporters
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop fundraising materials and content
  • Work closely with Programme colleagues to understand project requirements and develop informed discussions with donors
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, applications, and outcomes
  • Contribute to quarterly reporting to the Board of Trustees

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, preferably in a charity or non-profit setting
  • Experience of researching and writing proposals to secure funding from various sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write compelling proposals and correspondence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work at pace in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking

What We Offer:

The Martin James Foundation offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 1-2 days per week in our Birmingham office and the remainder working from home. We are committed to supporting flexible working patterns and are open to discussing alternative arrangements.
