About the Role

As a Principal Audiologist, Specialist Adult Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and managing specialized audiology services. Your responsibilities will include overseeing balance, complex adult, and severe/profound patient care. You will lead the team in shaping and implementing clinical strategies, ensuring service quality, and fostering a supportive and innovative work environment.

Clinical Leadership and Innovation:

  • Stay updated with clinical advancements and integrate them into services to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
  • Collaborate with referrers to optimize vestibular and complex adult audiology services, driving innovation and excellence in hearing health.

Team Management and Development:

  • Provide guidance and support to the team, including conducting personal development reviews to identify and nurture talent.
  • Foster a culture of clinical independence and growth, empowering team members to take ownership of their work and make informed decisions.

Operational Excellence:

  • Plan and coordinate service delivery, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards such as CQC and UKAS, maintaining the highest level of quality in audiology services.
  • Address and resolve service user queries and complaints promptly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Specialist training in Clinical Science (Audiology) or equivalent to MSc level.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in audiology, including balance and complex adult work, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
  • Personal Attributes: Calm under pressure, team-oriented, and committed to continuous professional development, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include membership of Perkbox, free life insurance, and the opportunity to become part of our employee engagement group contributing to the development of the service.
