About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Motor Engineer to join our team at Acorn Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing the prospects of repair versus total loss, utilizing engineering tools and guidelines to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess repair vs total loss using engineering tools and guidelines.
  • Mitigate ancillary claim spend on hire, storage, and recovery charges.
  • Provide accurate assessments of repair costs by authorizing repairs and supervising prompt payment of accounts.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with claims handlers, repairers, and intermediaries.
