About the Role

At Porthaven Care Homes, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care home team, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning, creation, and delivery of our leisure and wellness programme.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well with a variety of people, and have a genuine interest in active ageing for older people. You will also be creative, well-organised, and able to tailor activities and leisure pursuits to deliver person-centred care.

About You

You don't need a background in care as we will provide a full training programme, including NAPA Level 2 and progression towards NAPA Level 3. You will need excellent computer literacy and reading and writing skills, and be able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of people.

Weekend availability is essential as our Activities and Wellbeing Assistants work alternate weekends. The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
