Job Title: Nuclear Safety Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Specialist to support our Seniors and drive technical solutions for various innovative projects while interfacing with a range of disciplines, stakeholders, and clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule project activities, defining relevant deliverables, identifying dependencies, and estimating resourcing, time, and cost requirements.
  • Ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice in radiological safety.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams across design and operational projects and ensure procedures are correctly applied to technical activities.
  • Coordinate radiological protection documentation such as Normal Dose Uptake Assessments, Radiological Zoning, Radiological Risk Assessments, ALARP Assessments, Operating Instructions, and compliance statements.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements that include two days in the office/onsite and three days working from home. The successful candidate will be adaptable and able to work effectively from various locations in the UK alongside home working arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a radiation-related field.
  • Degree in Maths, Science, or a related field.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.

Location:

This role can be delivered from various locations in the UK alongside home working arrangements.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Degree in Maths, Science, or a related field.

Estimated Salary:

£50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
