Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced registered nurse to join our Nuclear Medicine team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful appointee will be an integral part of our local Nuclear Medicine team, working closely with clinical scientists, clinical technologists, nursing, and administrative staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

The main duties of this role will involve ensuring the highest standard of professional nursing care is provided to all patients attending the department, participating in clinical governance and clinical audit initiatives, and ensuring evidence-based practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and accurately administering radiopharmaceuticals by oral and intravenous routes to adult and paediatric patients.

Requirements

We are looking for a registered nurse with some experience of working in an outpatient department, such as Radiology. Specific training in Nuclear Medicine will be provided by the lead nurse and other staff as appropriate.

The successful appointee will be expected to be a clinically led organisation, with a focus on quality and safety at the heart of our Trust.

Preceptorship

The Trust will provide a twelve-month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals. Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
