Programme Support Officer Transport Specialist

Osborne Thomas Limited is seeking a highly skilled Programme Support Officer Transport to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive project and programme management support to our Transport Investment and programme development team.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the delivery of transport investment schemes, including financial administration, updating documentation, ensuring data accuracy, monitoring project timelines, and managing project communications.
- Helping to schedule and coordinate team events, such as workshops and seminars.
- Supporting the delivery of project tasks within time and budget, including keeping action and risk registers up to date.
- Assisting in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, and other key documentation.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of office procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Drafting and distributing communications, including emails, reports, and presentations.
- Collecting, compiling, and analysing transport and programme investment-related data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience of organising and delivering multi-faceted projects, in a formal or informal project management capacity.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with flexibility in the face of changing demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- The ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
Transport and/or local government experience are useful for this role, but not essential if you have strong project support skills and a desire to learn quickly about relevant topics and terminology.
