Job Title: Transport Operations Coordinator

You will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department. Acting as a main point of contact for drivers whilst they are on the road, ensuring their routes go to plan and dealing with queries. This is a customer-facing role, liaising with customers if any issues occur, you will need to be a problem solver and be able to think on your feet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and data entry to maintain the Company's systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
  • Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers
  • Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
  • Dealing with driver and customer queries
  • Creating Driver run sheets
  • Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
  • Scanning pods into the TMS
  • Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
  • Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
  • Record keeping
  • Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur
  • Carry out Driver licence checks

Requirements:

  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
  • Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable
