Job Title: Transport Operations Coordinator
You will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department. Acting as a main point of contact for drivers whilst they are on the road, ensuring their routes go to plan and dealing with queries. This is a customer-facing role, liaising with customers if any issues occur, you will need to be a problem solver and be able to think on your feet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration and data entry to maintain the Company's systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
- Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers
- Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
- Dealing with driver and customer queries
- Creating Driver run sheets
- Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
- Scanning pods into the TMS
- Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
- Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
- Record keeping
- Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur
- Carry out Driver licence checks
Requirements:
- Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
- Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
- Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
- Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable
