Job Overview:

A large Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work out of their Rugby office. The successful candidate will oversee an initial Carbon Capture project in Liverpool, requiring travel one day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of internal commercial reporting and contractually compliant supporting documentation.
  • Preparation of valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation.
  • Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
  • Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts and management of procurement schedules.
  • Undertake contract administration, including change management and associated registers.
  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change.
  • Utilize the costing system and provide internal commercial reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Industry Qualification and General Civil Engineering experience.
  • Commercially astute with knowledge of standard forms of contract and methods of measurement.
  • Proficient in NEC 3 Option A Contract experience and experience using CEMAR.
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Good communication skills including presentations and negotiation.
  • Experience within a construction/engineering industry and commercial background.

Remuneration:

  • Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 (negotiable for highly qualified candidates).
  • 23 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Discretionary company bonus.
