Job Title: Fire Safety Trainer

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Fire Safety Trainer, you'll play a vital role in delivering and assessing training courses that are core to the role of a firefighter.

The Role

As a Fire Safety Trainer, you'll be responsible for delivering and assessing a variety of courses that focus on modern-day firefighting techniques. These courses are designed to equip operational firefighters with the knowledge and skills to attend dynamic incidents safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training courses and conduct feedback to a professional and consistent standard in accordance with LFB requirements.
  • Maintain own subject and professional competence in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Pilot new initiatives in training when required.
  • Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation.

Essential Experience

  • Experience of teaching, coaching, assessing and/or presenting to groups of adults is preferable but not essential.
  • A fire-related background or experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • People who are passionate, adaptable, and engaging are ideal candidates for this role.

Qualifications

  • If you have a non-fire related background, ideally you will be a trainer with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above (not essential as this can be obtained through the company).
  • Additional desirable qualifications include positive pressure ventilation instructor and Bai and CFBTi.
