Job Title: Breathing Apparatus Trainer

The Role
As a Breathing Apparatus Trainer, you'll be responsible for delivering and assessing a variety of courses that focus on modern-day firefighting techniques. These courses are designed to equip operational firefighters with the knowledge and skills to attend dynamic incidents safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training courses and conduct feedback to a professional and consistent standard in accordance with LFB requirements.
- Maintain own subject and professional competence in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Pilot new initiatives in training when required.
- Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation.
Essential Experience
- Experience of teaching, coaching, assessing and/or presenting to groups of adults is preferable but not essential.
- A fire-related background/experience would be a distinct advantage.
- People who are passionate, adaptable, and engaging.
Qualifications
- If non-fire related background, ideally you will be a trainer with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above (not essential as this can be obtained through the company).
- Additional desirable qualification (positive pressure ventilation instructor) as well as the Bai and CFBTi.
