We are seeking a caring and experienced individual to join our team as a Youth Program Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children with mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Care Planning: Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of children.
  2. Program Delivery: Deliver high-quality youth programs that meet the needs of children and young people, including recreational activities, educational workshops, and life skills training.
  3. Staff Supervision: Conduct regular supervision sessions with staff, offering guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  4. Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incidents and near misses, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  5. Professional Development: Identify training needs for staff and support their professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working with children within a residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is approximately £15 per hour, based on experience and location.
