Role Overview
Tameside Children's Services are embarking on an improvement journey. We seek a dedicated Team Manager to join our Duty and Assessment Neighbourhood teams. This position requires substantial experience in statutory social care, specifically managing social workers and complex caseloads. The successful candidate will oversee a team providing assessment, planning, and intervention services for children in need of a statutory assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a team of social workers.
  • Supervise complex caseloads.
  • Ensure high-quality services for children in Tameside.
The ideal candidate should have a DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work, be registered with Social Work England, and hold an enhanced and in-date DBS certificate. Flexibility and knowledge of service needs are also essential.
