As a Youth Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in your care. You will be responsible for keeping them safe from risks to their health and welfare, maintaining a homely and friendly culture and environment, and providing support with daily tasks such as personal care and medication.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting or with a Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People. A full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential due to the nature of the role, which may involve transporting the young people.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of £28,080 - £30,480 per annum, depending on experience. The shift pattern is 5 days a week, with at least one sleep-in per week, and hours are 40 per week, including weekends.
The benefits package includes free meals while on shift, casual dress code, bonus scheme, Blue Light discount, overtime availability, comprehensive training package, and opportunities for career development and earnings maximisation.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
