About the Job

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Data Engineer to join our team at Forth Ports Group. As a Trainee Data Engineer, you will assist the Business Intelligence and Systems teams in developing, implementing, and providing data quality and verification, transformation, and extraction to support our in-house Business Intelligence team using Microsoft tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Business Intelligence and Systems teams in promoting BI tools and systems across the business.
  • Support access control and governance of data with the group BI suite.
  • Demonstrate the ability to help deliver insights and support to the business through technical skills and delivery.
  • Enhance knowledge of building Power BI models utilizing DAX expressions and implement row-level security.
  • Support, problem-solving, and initial investigation of issues, discrepancies within the platform, and escalate these to the third-party support vendors.
