Job Title: Welding Coordinator and QC Officer

On Line Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Coordinator and QC Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the BS EN 3834 and BS EN 1090 accreditations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and update welding quality manuals to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Assist with external audits, ensuring our processes meet the required standards.
  • Ensure welding activities are carried out in accordance with standards and project requirements.
  • Develop and implement welding procedures in line with relevant codes and standards.
  • Qualify and maintain welder qualifications in line with relevant codes and standards.
  • Identify the need for new PQRs as per project requirements.
  • Review client and contract documentation to identify necessary records and forms to satisfy requirements.
  • Ensure customer requirements and technical reviews are carried out for projects.
  • Produce data books for clients.
  • Create and implement ITPs as per project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, customers, and subcontractors on technical matters.
  • Review client quality plans.
  • Audit welders to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the 9001 accreditation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Review and update the quality manual.
  • Ensure work activities are carried out in accordance with the standard and any project requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and support the main quality lead in all quality matters.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the 14001 & 45001 accreditation.
  • Lead monthly EHS meetings.
  • Lead quarterly management review EHS meetings.
  • Manage certain training requirements in conjunction with HR.
  • Conduct site visits as required.
Requirements:
  • Knowledgeable in current legislation.
  • IT literate with excellent Excel and other Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with individuals as required.
  • Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to determine root cause by using analysis techniques.
  • Self-motivating and able to work accurately at speed.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of processes.
  • Positive attitude and reliable approach towards work.
  • Good communication skills.
Professional Qualifications/Relevant Experience:
  • T IOSHH Qualification.
  • HND/HNC Level.
  • 5 years' experience as Welding coordinator/QC Officer.
Key Competencies:
  • Establish priorities and develop critical tasks.
  • Accepts ownership, is accountable, and delivers on commitments.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
Working Hours and Benefits:

40 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm, 25+8 bank holidays, Perkbox, salary negotiable.
