Welding Coordinator and Quality Assurance Specialist

Ours is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Welding Coordinator and QC Officer to join our team.



About the Role:




  • Manage the BS EN 3834 and BS EN 1090 accreditations, ensuring compliance and maintaining certification.
  • Review and update the welding quality manuals to reflect changes in industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure seamless compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee welding activities to guarantee adherence to established standards and project requirements.
  • Develop and implement welding procedures in line with relevant codes and standards.
  • Qualify and maintain welder qualifications in accordance with industry standards.
  • Identify the need for new PQRs as per project requirements and ensure their implementation.
  • Review client and contract documentation to ensure necessary records and forms are in place.
  • Coordinate customer requirements and technical reviews for projects.
  • Produce data books for clients as required.
  • Create and implement ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) in accordance with project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, customers, and subcontractors on technical matters.
  • Review client quality plans to ensure alignment with our quality standards.
  • Audit welders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our ISO 9001 accreditation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Review and update the quality manual to reflect changes in industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure that all work activities are carried out in accordance with established standards and project requirements.
  • Support the main quality lead in all quality matters and participate in meetings as required.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations.
  • Lead monthly EHS meetings and quarterly management review EHS meetings.
  • Manage certain training requirements in conjunction with HR.
  • Perform site visits as required.

Requirements:




  • Knowledgeable in current legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient in IT, with excellent Excel and Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Able to adapt to new situations and working methods.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to determine root cause using analysis techniques.
  • Self-motivated and able to work accurately at speed.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of processes.
  • Positive attitude and reliable approach towards work.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience:




  • T IOSHH Qualification.
  • HND/HNC Level.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Welding Coordinator/QC Officer.
