Lead Clinician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Clinician to join our dynamic team at the Oxford South Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing duty requests on behalf of the Getting More Help service.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have extensive experience as a qualified mental health practitioner, working across different settings. They must have prior substantial experience of working in CAMHS or a Crisis setting, with a strong understanding of risk assessment and management plans.
Key duties will include responding to calls, participating in urgent assessments, and identifying patients that require early intervention. The successful candidate will also support the Clinical Team Manager by providing clinical leadership and expertise.
You will work closely with all Oxford South CAMHS staff, including Nurses, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Family Therapists, Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Administrators. We have a strong focus on staff development, with opportunities for formal training and peer supervision.
Person Specification- Risk Assessment and Management: Strong knowledge and skills in assessing risk and developing safety/management plans.
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Children and Adults: Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable children and adults.
- Mental Health Disorders: Highly developed specialist knowledge in the range of mental health disorders in children and adolescents and current treatments, underpinned by theory and experience.
- Qualification: Qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
- Registration: Registration with a professional governing body such as NMC or HCPC.
- Experience: Extensive experience as a qualified mental health practitioner, working across different settings, including community mental health settings.

We offer a competitive salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum/pro-rata, making this an attractive opportunity for an experienced clinician looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
