We are seeking a qualified Children's Nurse to join our team as a Band 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs in the community setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience of mentoring, supporting, and developing staff, as well as a strong understanding of community care principles. They will be required to work a variety of clinical shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, and will be expected to act as a Key Worker for individual children with the support of a band 6/7 Specialist Nurse.

The team provides specialist care to children and young people with complex health needs, including epilepsy, enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, and full home ventilation. The successful candidate will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including FFP3 masks, when caring for children with aerosol generating procedures.

We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses, as full training and support will be provided. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Main Duties:

  • Provide high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs
  • Work a variety of clinical shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Act as a Key Worker for individual children with the support of a band 6/7 Specialist Nurse
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment, including FFP3 masks, when caring for children with aerosol generating procedures
