About the Opportunity

We are seeking a learning support specialist to join our team at Zen Educate. The successful candidate will work in a special needs school in Stroud, supporting children with severe autism and complex needs, aged 5-16.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with special needs, either from a previous school job or supporting adults with special needs in a care role. A key requirement is following notes and instructions laid out in the students' education healthcare plan.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£37,000 per annum, based on 20 hours of work per week. This is a flexible position that can be worked 2 or 3 days a week between 8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday, during term time only.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting children with severe autism and complex needs.
  • Following notes and instructions laid out in the students' education healthcare plan.
  • Being flexible to the needs of the school and having a hands-on/can-do attitude.
