Commissioning and Partnerships Specialist

The NHS England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Health and Justice Programme Manager. This role will play a critical part in leading the development and implementation of public health strategies and initiatives within the Health and Justice sector.
Key Responsibilities- Provide public health expertise to support the commissioning of healthcare services in secure and detained settings, as well as in the community.
- Work closely with stakeholders and partners to understand and address the health needs of individuals in contact with the criminal justice system.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, health and social care commissioners, and service providers to ensure effective partnership working.
- Lead on core public health analytical and evaluation functions, including data analysis and interpretation, to inform commissioning decisions.
- Engage with the national Health and Justice team and representatives of the Devolved Administrations to contribute to the development of national policies and strategies.
- Education to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification, with significant experience of working in public health or a related field.
- Substantial experience of working in public health or a related field, with a strong understanding of health promotion, quality improvement, and epidemiology.
- Excellent data analytical and IT skills, including experience of using databases, statistical packages, and presentation software.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex projects and teams.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to construct and deliver clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately.
