Health and Justice Programme Manager

This role requires a strong understanding of public health principles and practices, as well as experience of working in partnership with stakeholders across the health and social care/health and justice sectors. You will be responsible for providing public health expertise to support the commissioning of healthcare services in secure and detained settings, and for working with law enforcement and criminal justice partners to address inequalities and reduce re-offending.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe post-holder will:
- Provide public health expertise to support the commissioning of healthcare services in secure and detained settings.
- Work with law enforcement and criminal justice partners to address inequalities and reduce re-offending.
- Develop and implement public health strategies to improve the health and well-being of people in contact with the criminal justice system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the health and social care/health and justice sectors to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of policy and guidance on public health issues related to health and justice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant subject, such as public health or a related field.
- Substantial experience of working in public health or a related field, including experience of working in partnership with stakeholders across the health and social care/health and justice sectors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and undertake epidemiological analysis.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage projects to deliver results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
