Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse to join our team at the Darwin Centre. As a Senior Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor junior nurses to ensure they are providing the best possible care to our patients.
- Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care required for patients, ensuring it meets Trust standards.
- Participate in the setting of quality standards and monitoring and reviewing care in line with current clinical guidance and policy.
- Ensure the post holder understands and meets their professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach.
- Ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 are observed, adhered to, and implemented.
- Promote carer and service user involvement within the service and encourage recovery, discovery, and independence.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or other specialism relating to post.
- NMC registration.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Post graduate qualification related to ward specialism (desirable).
- Additional qualification for specialism (desirable).
- Experience of inpatient services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience of dealing with service users with complex mental health needs.
- Experience working with Children, Young People and Families.
- Experience relating to ward specialism (desirable).
- Experience with Service improvement (desirable).
