About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care for patients, ensuring it meets Trust timescales.
  • Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 are observed, adhered to, and implemented.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries.
  • Demonstrate care and compassion in your work.
  • Ensure the safe custody and administration of medicines in accordance with all medicine policies.
  • Keep accurate and timely written records, reporting on any issues as appropriate.
Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or Registered Nurse Learning Disability (RNLD).
  • NMC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification relating to ward specialism.
  • Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties/learning disability.
  • Lived experience of mental health.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including IT literacy.
